Problem Behaviour Towards Dogs
Does your dog growl or bark at dogs they meet on a walk? Do they behave overly excited and lunge at the end of their lead? Do you avoid walking them in places where they are likely to meet other dogs?
If this sounds like your dog, then you are in the right place and I can help.
Your dog is sweet—except when another dog appears.
Most of the time, your dog might be lovely, gentle, and full of personality. But when they see another dog on a walk, everything changes. Growling, barking, lunging—it’s stressful, unpredictable, and leaves you on edge.
Maybe you're starting to avoid certain routes or times of day, just to steer clear of other dogs. You might feel embarrassed, frustrated, or even a bit hopeless. And with so much conflicting advice online, it’s hard to know who or what to trust—especially when some methods seem harsh or just make things worse.
That’s where I come in.
I’ll help you understand why your dog is reacting this way, and support you with kind, effective training that builds trust, confidence, and calm walks—without fear or force. You're not failing your dog—you just need the right support.

Feeling stuck? You're not alone - your dog is feeling it too.
If your dog growls, barks, or lunges at other dogs on walks, you're not alone—and your dog isn’t “bad,” they’re struggling. These moments can feel embarrassing, stressful, and even disheartening. But there is a way forward.
Rather than using harsh corrections or quick-fix gimmicks, I take the time to understand what’s really behind your dog’s behaviour—fear, frustration, confusion—and work with you to build calm, confident walks using kind, effective methods.
With the right support, walks can become enjoyable again—for both of you.
Behaviour Support Package
I take a holistic approach to understanding dog behaviour, considering not only the dog’s natural instincts and past experiences but also the environmental factors that may be influencing their actions. This allows me to develop a personalised behaviour modification plan that’s tailored to meet the unique needs of each dog.
This is what I can offer you:
Communication with you and your vet to gather as much information as possible about your dog prior to our first meeting.
Analysis of all information collected and any video footage of the problem behaviours so that I can fully prepare for the consultation.
An in-person consultation at your home where we can explore the behaviour issue in more detail, identify possible causes and discuss ways forward. Typically lasts 90 minutes.
A detailed written report outlining all that we discussed in the consultation and with a practical step by step Behaviour Plan for you to follow at home.
Bespoke guidance using ethical methods, based on up-to-date scientific research.
A compassionate understanding of the issues you are facing with your dog and practical techniques to help you address them.
Two 30 minute follow-up sessions, either in person or telephone, to guide you in implementing the Behaviour Plan and address any issues. Usually held 3 and 6 weeks after the consultation.
Direct WhatsApp support for 12 weeks after the consultation, for quick guidance at the time when you need it.
A summary report sent directly to your vet for a co-ordinated approach to your dog’s care.
Completion of any paperwork needed for insurance claims.
Investment: £480
Please note that you may be able to claim for behaviour support on your pet insurance if you have been referred by your vet. Please check this with your insurance provider.
